Help With Downloading

Web Pages Containing Pop-Up Verses

Please feel free to download (/File/Save As/...) any file from Chafer Seminary's Topical Notebook for your personal use. For the least confusion, direct the file to a specific directory (folder) that you can rememberwhere you can find it later (see Download Directories).  Avoid saving files to directories beginning with:

/My Webs...   /My Downloads...   /My Documents...   /Documents and Settings

Those directories (folders) will cause problems, sooner or later.

If the downloaded file has pop-up verses (e.g. Col 1:16 ), from the New American Standard Bible, and if you wish those pop-ups to work on your computer, you will need to have a copy of a 43 kb Java Script file, named overlib.js, in every directory where there are files using such pop-ups.

To use this web page as a test case. Use the /File/Save As/... pull-down menu to save this web page to a known directory as a file (Help-pop-up-verses.htm).

Then, right-click here, select "Save Target As," and locate that same known directory, and begin downloading the overlib.js file. This should not take more than just a few seconds.

Next, try it out!  Using your web browser, use the pull-down menu /File/Open, and use the "Browse" button in the Open Dialog Box to find that known directory, select this file (Help-pop-up-verses.htm), press the "Open" button, which takes you back to your web browser's Open Dialog Box, and last, press the "OK" button.

Now, you should be able to mouse-over the verse Col 1:16 and see the NASB translation of the verse.
